Hi, I’m Sara

I’m an expert thought-partner with over 15 years of nonprofit and corporate experience as a successful people manager and team leader.

I started this business to help people, teams, and organizations succeed on their own terms.

I want you to have a better time at work.

Explore working together

I’d love to hear what’s on your mind and co-create a partnership to support your goals.

I built my business around my favorite parts of work.

Everywhere I’ve worked, I’ve been a sought-after manager and mentor, known for employing best-practice coaching methods. In my last role, I was assigned the most direct reports and mentees of any VP, and I was the 200-person company’s most-requested peer reviewer for annual performance reviews.

I landed my dream job at every step. From best-in-class nonprofits like the ACLU and American Jewish World Service to industry-leading companies like BerlinRosen and WeWork, my past work spanned consulting, communications, advocacy, fundraising, marketing, campaigning, membership development, executive administration, community organizing, and more.

In each workplace, I loved working with smart and decent people to do big things. I also saw what happened when groups aren’t set up for success: missed opportunities, unnecessary tension, and meetings that waste time and energy. I became obsessed with designing team work, team time, and team culture to tap into everyone’s strengths, collaborate joyfully, and achieve big goals together.

My non-linear career gives me uniquely valuable experience. I’ve been an executive and an executive assistant—and everything in between. I survived layoffs and redesigns and mergers and scandals. I contributed to massive victories, extraordinary growth, and truly epic fails. I’ve seen the right people suffer and the wrong people rise. I thought, this could be better.

When I decided to start my business, I focused on the best parts of my past jobs:

  • Supporting individuals to succeed

  • Guiding teams to do great work together

  • Setting and meeting strategic goals

  • Achieving impact that improves people’s lives

I traveled around the world to find my work.

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted me to reexamine my priorities and to live a life more aligned with my values. In 2022 I took my first career break, put my stuff in storage, gave up my apartment, and left home.

My partner and I spent 15 months traveling around the world for deep study of our favorite things: pasta making in Italy, salsa dancing in Colombia, scuba diving in Indonesia, sailing in the Mediterranean, trekking the Himalayas, backpacking the 500-mile Colorado Trail, and more. After years of feeling stuck chasing the wrong goals, I rediscovered wonder, imagination, and my own agency.

The joy of connecting with humans across languages and cultures reminded me how much I love working with people. Feeling free to choose how to spend my time motivated me to start my own business.

Let’s explore how I can contribute my abilities and experiences to support your goals.

MY Strengths

I use CliftonStrengths assessments with my coaching clients and in team workshops. Get to know me through my top strengths:

  • Winning Others Over has consistently been my #1 strength over the years. My clients and teammates love working with me because I am a committed partner in reaching their goals. Book a call with me and see if you enjoy being in conversation together!

  • I believe we deserve a better time at work, and I’m determined to find joy in the process. I support my coaching and facilitation clients to bring a sense of playfulness and camaraderie to the work. My enthusiasm is infectious.

  • I am rigorous about cutting to the heart of the matter and aligning action with intention. I think several steps ahead and work backwards from the end goal. My clients benefit from my clear-eyed perspective, my ability to examine an issue from all angles, and my laser focus on achieving outcomes.

  • As a coach and facilitator, my ability to communicate with crystal clarity and precision is central to my success. I help my clients — individuals, teams, leaders, and entire organizations — tell their truest and most compelling stories on their own terms.

  • A sense of belonging is one of the most underrated ingredients in an individual or a group’s recipe for success. Trained in anti-oppressive facilitation and management techniques, I set up all my coaching clients and facilitation participants to bring their best selves to our work.

Work with me to discover and leverage your strengths — and the strengths of your team — for greater impact.
